Coming from Atmosphere to SX Help please!

So I bought my switch with 9.0 already on it..
Bought the SX Pro (not realising my dilemma at the time) and was unable to install the CFW (2.9.1 wasn't released at the time)

So I used atmosphere and converted some XCI's to NSP and have managed to play these with no issues (I have kept the switch in Airplane mode since flashing)

Can anyone point me in the direction of an idiot guide that will help me come from Atmosphere to SX? Is it just a case of formatting my SD Card and starting from scratch with 2.9.1?

TIA

I never used Atmosphere but generally speaking this depends on your setup.

1. If you are using Atmosphere EmuMMC (EmuNAND) then all you need to do is wipe that SD Card and start fresh (or use a new SD Card) and follow the SX Setup guide.

2. If you are using Atmosphere on sysNAND then you need to restore your OFW NAND, assuming you did a NAND backup and follow the SX Setup guide.

If you are using sysNAND and did NOT backup your original NAND then things are not so easy and require someone who has more knowledge then me to help.

I am using an emunand yep ?? if I'm gonna be wiping my card is there a way of keeping my saves?
Also how do you install an update for a game? Say I have an XCI file for Zelda and an XCI for an update and an XCI for DLC

Again thanks for all your help

If you want to use costum made xci on SXOS, then you need to wait, there are reports that it doesn't work atm on SXOS

People have used a program called "Checkpoint Save Manager" to do the opposite concerning saves (i.e. transfer saves from SX switching to Atmos) so I assume this should work. in the reverse. You can download it from: https://github.com/FlagBrew/Checkpoint/releases/tag/v3.1.0

I am not aware of Game Updates or DLC in XCI format as they need to be installed, unless maybe when you venture forth into the weird realm of custom XCI which I do not mess with. So with that said Game updates and DLCs are just NSPs, you just install them like a game. It doesn't matter if the game is installed NSP or XCI makes no difference. You just need to download the update/DLC NSP and install it.

So if instead of making a custom XCI I can install the XCI of a game and any relevant XCI in regards to it's updates and DLC all separately like I'm installing individual games?

I am not aware of installing XCI files. In SX OS you mount the XCI like mounting an ISO in a PC, no installing. It’s virtual drive for a cart.

DLC and Updates are NSP those get installed.

I have no idea about custom XCI as I don’t use them or know how they work.
