He doesn't have a USB Pro, but he was trying to get it to respond in DOS and couldn't do anything. I guess my only choice is to get a new BenQ drive, but luckily I have an e-74 console with a BenQ, so when I get my hands on that again I'll throw the drive in.

Could you let me know how a USB Pro would fix my problem? I've thought about picking one up and another CK3i, but I'm still on the fence about it, as I've heard that if I get another BenQ and flash my original key onto it, it will work just fine.

So instead of making a new topic, I'll stay here.

So I took another BenQ drive, and flashed it with my old busted drive's key. It worked, and now when I put in a backup disc, it will either show "Play DVD" for non-XGD3 games, or when I try to play an XGD3 backup, it will go to a black screen then back to dashboard. Any ideas?

Can you explain a little please? I was told that if I flashed Drive B with my Drive A (broken drive) key, that it would work. Is that not the case? Did I just screw up another drive?

Nevermind. Herp derp me forgot that the "auto load FW" does not auto-load 3.0.

One of these days, I'll get the perfect flash with no issues.
