My computer won't detect my JR programmer. I have tried everything. Removing old drivers, switch is set to the right of the reset button, reset it, switch USB ports, nothing. There is a green LED and that is it.

SOLVED: switched cables

Sorry for the late reply, my account is allowed to post now, my cable was not faulty it just didn't pick up the J-Runner. I originally used a small cable that looked like this:

That didn't work so i switched to one I found that looked like the one below. Notice the big circle sitting in the line at the end. Maybe a resistor inside or something but that worked fine. I didn't have a NAND-X cable at the time either. Hopefully this helps others.

You don't see the JRunner Programmer in Device Manager?

Windows XP? 7? You haven't really given us any information on specs.

If you see it in device manager click on update drivers and set the browse path to JRunner Software directory.

You just need to make sure you use a data cable, not a charger cable. There's the same issue with Micro USB cables where people are not aware they're not always fully populated.

Yea I didn't realize the difference. But my programmer works, drivers installed, reads NAND, and SONUS.
