Confused after upgrade

My years warranty has now run out so i treated myself to an X3 chip
I've installed the x3 chip and all the lights came on as i'd hoped. i then managed to flash the bios to 3.0.3. with bank switch 1&2 set to on and 3&4 set to off.

whenever i now switch it on , it allways goes to the bios screen.
i can't seem to get it to load from any game
What have i missed?

Any help appreciated.

you need to flash the chip with the latest x3 bios.

after the aquire the x3 bios 1959
bootup the chip in the backup flashbios mode (pressing the pwr and eject buttons until you get the flashbios screen and flash the x3 with the 1959 bios and you are ready to install a dashboard and apps.

can i spoof a lite-on 74850 to a benq drive with the benq LT firmware?

ok let me see if im correct i have a lite-on 7485 drive i want to replace it with a benq now can i spoof it with LT and would that be a benq LT 1.1 firmware?

Why would you want to replace a LiteOn with a Benq?
is the LiteOn broken?

I had never done that before and no idea what exactly the spoof is. Can some one please explain me what exactly the spoof means. I tried to google it but didn't get what exactly I was searching for.

spoofing is when you make a drive report as another drive, for example if your xbox came with a BenQ and it breaks and you have a spare Samsung drive you spoof the Samsung and it will report itself as a BenQ that way you can use it in your xbox.
