.. and I'm back already! *hangs head in shame*

a day or two ago I took nand reads , 2 of them two seperate times and all 4 of them compare the same.

So now after toying with my coolrunner and soldering connections to making it able to boot. I've put the board back on my desk and tried to read the nands once more.

I took 3 new readings and all 3 compared the same.
they don't match the 4 I took the other day

jrunner comparing the differences shows this

all the nands open in nandhealer and likewise nandhealer shows a mismatch between the days.

point me in a direction please!

That'll be why once you boot it writes to the nand and the result is it different to the one before booting the console.

haha wow , ok thank you I understand it all more now.

a question a bit out of curiosity then, are both and potentially future nand readings all safe ? or once I turn the console on is the nand somehow no longer as usable for manipulating purposes?
sorry I'm not exactly sure how to ask that question.

You can reuse an old NAND dump PROVIDING you didn't update the console after it was taken. The LDV would change as part of a system update, rendering the older dumps (without modification) unbootable.
