Hi

Getting quite cross now, particularly having ruined two drives..... Grrrr

I have previously used my friends x360usb with no problems, so thought I would buy my own. 12 week wait till it was finally here.

The firmware is v0.18 (latest). Drivers are installed correctly.

When in jungleflasher, it keeps connecting and disconnecting continuously. Including halfway through flashing drives.

What can I do, or do you think it is a faulty unit.

Also, try using the AUX power cable that was supplied with the device.

I have the same issue on my laptop because the USB isn't giving enough power. Use the Aux power cable and you'll be fine. There is nothing wrong with the X360USB :)

More interestingly, how have you ruined two drives? What drives are they?

Have tried 3 PCs now, all of which worked fine with my friends x360 usb.

The drives ruined (Both BENQ): Got to Erase firmware, then halfway through the writing stage..... Guess what..... Drive Disconected - Drive Connected - Drive Disconnected - Drive Connected and so on....

I have tried with both the USB and AUX powers....

I have changed the USB lead for another.

Cant think of much else to do. How would I know if it is a hardware fault with the x360 USB unit.

Thanks to all so far....

Losing power halfway through a flash does NOT ruin a Benq drive. You just need to vendor intro it again to get access to the SPI for reading/writing.

It's a shame that so many people actually think you can brick a benq/lite-on through a failed write.
