Has anyone found a way to get this to the work? The newer portable hard drives don't use SATA connections anymore, they have USB3 connectors on the drive itself, they look like this

I can't find any kind of cable or coupler that would let you do this. I have two 1TB portable drives sitting around that I'd like to use on my Jtagged Xbox, but no way to connect them.

I know I can buy a new hard drive. I'm asking if anyone knows a way to make this work with a USB3 drive.

take pics of both top and bottom sides. I know what a USB3 connector looks like, so not sure why you posted that.
I'd have to crack open the drive case to get more pics. Why do you want to see side and top pics? The only connections on the drives are what you see in the pic. The USB3 connector doesn't come off.

Basically I need a USB3 male to male SATA data/power cable, which as far as I can tell, doesn't exist. I was hoping someone here had tried the same thing on their jtagged xbox and found a solution.

Why? Because I thought you wanted someone to help you.

The label will help identify the drive and the back side help with any extra components. I very much doubt it's native USB.

I believe it's possible, just not looked into it.

I found this thread:

Looks like there are test points you can solder to.
damn, I absolutely suck at soldering. I guess I'll keep looking for a SATA data/power coupler. They make data couplers and power couplers, but not a combined model, at least not that I can find.

I need these 2 couplers combined in one piece and I think I could make it work.
