I did the 1.6 PCB rebuild ... do I have to solder part 8 (d0/LAN/HDD cable) in? It connects to the Xecuter and plugs into it.

the d0 (grey wire) solders to the do pad on the rebuild pcb. as for the lan/hdd those are optional. solder them if you want the lan and hdd lights to work on the front panel.

Flashed drive but now getting red rings

I've flashed my Liteon 8350c V2 and got the key and firmware. My problem is when i plugged everything in i get the red rings and my dvd drive doesnt eject. I think that i didnt put enough glue on the trace cuts. Is it okay if I go back and put more glue or is it too late? Is the glue the problem or could it be something else?

you can try more glue

but the odds are that you actually shorted something on the drive

i highly recommend repairing with solder
