hello everyone! this is my first post and i just wanted to say this is a great website with a lot of good info. i have read over textbooks guide and have not been able to find the answer im looking for. if anyone could help me out, im having some trouble finding ways to hook up my 360 to the sata. my mobo does not have one and i was going to buy a card. i found a usb to sata adaptor on ebay and also a connectivity kit for the 360. im wondering which one would be the one to get. also if they are compatible on all 360s. heres an ebay link to one of the connectity kits connectivity kit, heres a different one connectivity kit 2, and heres the usb to sata usb to sata. i need to be able to hack the firmware and backup games. thanks in advance for your help.

SATA - USB will only work on early hitachi's up to ver 47 iirc it will not work on the 59 or 78k

Your best bet is to get a VIA SATA vt6421A/L based PCI card

The connectivity kits will power all Xbox 360 drives, but it will only put Hitachi version 46, 47, and 59 drives into ModeB.

@napoleon, buy the second ebay link, the first one is for the Xbox 360 hard drive only, you want the one that includes a kit for the DVD drive as well.

Also, SATA > USB adapters work on Hitachi versions 46, 47, and 59.

thanks for the help! :) so just to make sure i get the right thing, i could either get the 4 port sata pci card or the connectivity kit that allows access to the dvd drive. is this correct and will it work on all 360s? thanks again for the fast responses! :D
