console download the firmware automatically

Hi,

Avoid any accident to auto updated 10.1 that I don't wanted. I would like to discuss :

Do you think our console download the firmware automatically?

Or the update file was "embedded" inside the ROM that we download? What is the name of the firmware update file? Could we search and delete it?

For any new ROM we download from the internet, could we remove it likes otherconsole before we copyand play?(Wii? Ps3? Forgot)
