console resetting

Asking a question for a friend it got me stumped
his console resets itself while playing a game and even weirded it switches itself on sometimes too, any ideas on this problem much appreciated.

switches on like the flashing now and then center led on the 360?

Constant resetting is a power problem and should be looked at the plug or more then likely he or she is using a surge proctector along with other devices. 360 is suppose to be using its only plug straight into the wall and not on any extension. Read the manual for proof to what I am saying. If he or she did but now removed the damage to the power supply can all already be in place. Try a differnt power supply and plug it into the walll
