BENQ Console won't acknowledge XGD3 Backups with new topology data

Hi Folks,

I recently went from LT+ 2 to LT+ 3. I had been using the title update method to play games on LT+ 2. After flashing to LT+ 3, I'm still able to do the TU method, but whenever I burn a game with the new topology data the console fails to recognize that there is a disc in there.

It's really odd, it doesn't even spew an error saying that a non Xbox 360 compatible disc is in the drive, it simply says "Open Tray" after having spun the disc. I'm really confused. Did I use the wrong firmware file maybe (LTPlus-0442-v3.0.bin) and am still at LT+ 2?

Thanks.

your using singapore verbs?
what are the kprobe results on your burns?
and how are you adding the topology data? as abgx will do it for you now, have you run the rip through abgx?

If i read the op correctly. the box is still playing backups just not xdg3 backups
can the op confirm that the box now plays none xdg3 backups its just the patched discs that dont work?

nicke20: I can play XGD2 Backups and XGD3 backups without the new topology data (using TU method) just fine. Whenever I burn XGD3 backups with the new topology data, the console flatout refuses to acknowledge the fact that there's a disc in there :\

I'm using Verbatims. I'm running the images through the new abgx which automatically adds the topology data.

Oh, and I can reflash it later today and post a jf log. Am I correct in using the file I specified in OP?

r u injecting topology data in full backups might be that u did the truncated disks prior to lt3 coming out?

The backups pass all abgx tests. I kept the source image after making the truncated backup in the pre LT3 era.

I have an LT 2.0 and an LT 3.0 console, the topology fixed backups will not work in the 2.0 system.. I would re-flash it and make sure 3.0 is on there!
