SAMSUNG MS28 Constant green blinking with DVD ejecting

Hey all

Flashed an old samsung ixtreme 1.5 to stock pre firmware change, with DVD dummy. Using ck3i and onboard sata, and JF 1.91. Placed in Xbox, i was getting constant green blinking with tray ejecting. Didnt happen before flash. Updated to latest dash then reflashed 2.01. Placed back in Xbox and still same symptoms. Green flash constant and ejecting. I did search, so i looked over cables all looked good. Any ideas I should try or what to check with multimeter if need be. I know constant blinking is eject signal, but why? Can this be attributed to bad flash.

Also JF does not note to press outro/ata reset they just say power off drive but other tutorials here say outro. Can this be why I'm getting this. I did outro as I was afraid if I didn't the drive would brick. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: also dvd does not have symptoms when plugged into ck3i, only when in xbox does it eject right away, and open back up when you press close on the button.

I always click Outro/ATA Reset after flashing an MTK-based drive.

Can you post your JungleFlasher log?

update:

tried samsung drive in another xbox, same situation

tried a different drive in original xbox that had Samsung dvd, no blinking green

so im ruling out motherboard.

plug samsung into ck3i and acts normal

is there something causing the drive to constantly eject and therefore cause xbox to constantly eject. I check pcb, nothing out of the ordinary. Are there any points on PCB someone can suggest i check with multimeter as i believe something with the power connector is just not right.

Would switching out PCB with another Samsung M28 due the trick.

Any1 have any thoughts or suggestions whether switching out pcb with another off eBay would be sufficient as drive ejects and is recognized by JF or should I just get another Samsung.

I would much rather try and fix this one as it has potential, I just need advice on what to check

have you tried reflashing it? could have been a bad flash

Tried reflashing cfw and stock, same thing. Always write ok as above. Only thing I can say was strange compared to other flashes was getting it into vendor mode with ck3i on auto mode. Ck3i would always turn off DVD and never turn it back on. Did this multiple times. So I decided to do it manual and got it into vendor mode with half tray trick as old Ixtreme was on. Flashed it to stock so I can update dash. Write ok. Put it n Xbox with stock to update dash and that's when it started to act up.

Update:

Tested all voltage gong into DVD and found that pin 4 tray status does not get any voltage. Guess this is what was causing the Xbox to blink constant green as it did not know if tray was open or closed. Every other pin read fine.

Is there a way to fix the pin 4 tray status or is it time for a new pcb, if only option is the later, anyone have one laying around to give or sell.
