Hi to all the xbox modders in here! :wink:
i have bought a xbox 360 lately and now im planning to flash it. Everythig was fine until i found out that i have Silicon image sil 3112 sata raid controller on my motherboard. (i have hitachi 46 drive). then i found on a forum that it is possible to go through with the flash with that controller so i tried and no luck.. didnt see the drive in windows.
is there a way to do it with that and if not what kind on controller should i buy to do it? i live in Estonia and it costs me about 12 dollars to deliver a controller so i dont wanna order a useless one. and i have a LG GSA-4163B (flashed with the latest firmware) dvd burner will it do the trick or do i need a new burner also?

VIA SATA 6421A or L

IS you LG dual layer if so it should be fine

thnx for the info gonna find that controller and buy it. and yes it is a dual layer and its very good to hear that i dont have to buy a new burner for xbox games

Silicon image sil 3112 sata raid controller should work with hitachi 46 drive.

I have had a sil 3112 but gave me problems with some drives including early Hitachis.

so its possible to do the flash with sil 3112? gonna try it once more but first i will format my pc-s HDD coz i have messed with the sata before and mby there is some uncleaned drivers. or mby i just use driver cleaner to do it. only controller i found was SATA Gembird , 2 ports, RAID, PCI that shoul have VIA SATA 6421A but im not sure. cant daemon tool be the issue and make some conflicts in sata?
