Hi all - this is a real noobie question (I suspect).
I have an xbox v1.0 - very early model - I had to unsolder the LPC header holes to fit the header!!
So far got it booting into FlashBIOS 3.0.3 - so I acquired a BIN and flashed bank 1234 (on on off off). After flashing xbox turned off - when I turned it on screen was black and eject button flashes green/red - when I started it with a long press on power button I get MS dash OK. So I remembered the bit in the instructions which says when it all goes wrong boot xbox holding power & eject buttons. I did this and X symbol went sort of lilac color but xbox booted into FlashBIOS 3.0.3 again - I thought this would have copied the image from the backup to 1234 so it was back to start. So I tried reflashing same image and guess what - now when I boot on 1234 I get black screen of death and red/green flashing eject button and I get the same if I boot holding thepower & eject button. So I have finally realised that I have flashed a bad image on the 1234 and backup. So I switched to 5678 (off on off off) and the xbox boots into FlashBIOS 3.0.3 again
So my question is - how do I restore this image on to bank 1234 and the backup image??
Also how do you know which images are any good and where is the best place to find them? I used emule and the image/s I tried to use came from a file called "Xbox Bios Evox m8 Bin m8 16 Bin" and when unzipped contained a file called m8.bin and another called m8_16.bin. These are the 2 images that I used to cook the X3CE.
