Xenon 2.0.2858 I have fixed and flashed a lot of xbox's . Red rings open trays , j-tagged and rgh'd for keys . I bought a box on ebay that had open tray . I cleaned it up , dust and stuff and fired it up with stock firmware just to get the lay of the land . All was well , so , on to the j-tag . Everything was going smoothly until I tried to load xex . The box froze , so I turned it off and then it would not turn on again . I pulled the wires and reloaded stock . Sure enough 0020 . I removed the sinks and discovered it had been reballed . That works for me , right ? Leads better . I threw it on the griddle and gave it a gentle reflow . Plugged it in all stock and it fired right up . So , on with the j-tag . I didn't get far before it died , 0020 . So I checked the board and it seems my gentle reflow cooked caps c2f3 and c3f2 . I used lots of heating and AC foil but , obviously not enough . My question , could the caps alone be the cause of the 0020 ? Also , I don't have any dead Xenon laying around , are there any caps on a Falcon or Jasper that would act as suitable replacements ? If it still needs a reflow or reball , I am sending it out to a pro . I know I'm a noob , but my soldering is good . Be gentle .
