What motherboard it is? This solution is usually associated with jaspers but try a o.068nF capacitor between ground and point A.

ive looked all over, i cant find any shorts. its booting perfect with no dvd or hdd connected. only way i can get it to boot is to unplud dvd and harddrive, boot into ggbuild dash, put a usb stick in to get to xexmenu and run games from usb. Very wierd

heres pics of install, notice the 3.3v wire looks shorted but i can tell you it isnt. all wires have been desoldered and resoldered all day lol.

i have managed to just boot it with no drive or hdd and use a usb stick formatted to 360 format to load xexmenu, any ideas on why it wont boot with hdd connected or dvd drive??

Flash back your original NAND.

Desolder ALL wiring. Use desoldering braid and flux to clean around all holes.

Try booting - you should be back to where you started.

i have tried that, it just went to stock nand and the same thing. it will boot with the dvd power cable in but with the sata it it will not glitch. what could be causing this? i have cleaned up holes took all wiring out and booted stock and the same thing happened. i have now just finished installing coolrunner again and am booting into fsd via usb external hdd. that will do untill i figure out what is wrong

It means you managed to damage something on the Southbridge itself. Easy to do if you can't solder, as your nand-x wires talk to the NAND through it.

One of the reasons why some people elect to get others to install it.

but the harddrive worked before i installed the coolrunner. my nand-x cables have been in my xbox for over 2 weeks lol. just put my coolrunner in this morning, and i can solder. been soldering for years and my points where VERY clean this morning with no shorts.

i glitched it got cpu key, made dash and booted sweet. put it all back in with the dvd drive etc and it wouldnt boot, i thought it was my wires so i took it apart and it booted again ( with no drive etc).

thats when it started, ive tried diffrent wire positions, different this, different that with no avail.

im pretty sure something is wrong but i cant see where on the board. and the southbridge? how could i of done something to that?

peace

I honestly don't know what you've done. I've personally installed over a dozen of these on slims so far and not had anything like the issue you are. It's not the product - that much I can tell you.

its not the cool runner i know that. the coolrunner is doing its job.. what i did do by accident at the beggining of the glitch was put it on the pad next to the one it was suppose to be on ( hana point) and tried to glitch, it wouldnt. so rechecked and put it on the wrong point. that ouldnt damage it would it?

Some people have problems with interference with the CPU_RST wire when the put their console back together, have you tried uncoiling the cpu_rst wire and moving it around while you boot?

Another thing I would try, to confirm your south bridge is ok, is to put the original NAND image onto your console and see if it boots with the drives attached. If so, then you might have an interference problem. Glitching isn't the most consistent hack, that's for sure.

Well that pad goes to the southbridge.... who knows what you've done :(

trace it back and see if there's any components along the way which looks like they might need attention. Good luck.

thats the point i soldered to first lol

im scared to open my xbox again to even look where that trace goes, i might break it even more.
works ok though, going toh ave to use 4gb internal for profile and 1tb external for all da other shizz.

thanks anyway . gonna look for another cheap slim box :D

and SPLATEM thanks for advice, i have tried moving wire around etc. its bunched together atm under theb oard, its booting in like 4 seconds. sometimes it will boot in 10. but 6/10 times its 4-5 seconds

very impressed!! shame bout sata sh*t though lol
