So I recently installed the RGH in this Falcon console. Which is great, but i'm having the problem that when I turn on the console, the cooling fans start blowing faster and faster, until the console shuts itsellf down.

It does glitch, because in the few seconds (3/5 seconds) that i have before it shuts itself down, I get to see the Xell screen.

Anyone have a clue on what could be causing this?

The problem is also there when i write back the original NAND.

The problem is likely not to do with your RGH install. Several people have post this same issue and have resolved it simply by removing the heat sink and redoing the thermal past on both chips. Try it out and report back.

The trouble is when the thermal paste is old and starts to dry up then you crack loose the heat sinks. The thermal paste then breaks contact with the chip and it wont make good contact again.

In your Nand
Next time if your handling the motherboard Do Not grab it from the the Heat Sink. Reapply thermal paste and you can get the washers and screws from ebay for like $6 for the small kit.

As explained before, the problem is most likely not the RGH. You will have to replace the thermal compound on the heatsinks. You should never, ever lift the board by the heatsinks because it greatly increases the chance of disturbing old and brittle compound. I'm not saying that what you did but just something to remember in the future.
