cooling issues

i have noticed graphic errors if i play it over 2 to 4 hours str8 i was wonder'n is there a cheap and easy way to fix the heating issue? sorry for the noobness..........i just dont want my xbox360 to die a early death lol

I don't blame you.

Seems that the design of the case itself is the probelm with the over heating issue. Over time the solder itself can become too hot and eventually break down and bring on the ROD.

Best advice is to have the box in an open cool area where it can breath. Shoving it into a crowded entertainment center or on top of other hot equipment (hot air goes up not down) is the worst thing that you can do.

I have not seen any good press about the addon fan kits (to the back) so I wouldn't suggest that.

i have that nyko intercooler but dont know if that is helping or not.... alot of ppl are saying its no good? but why is it not good? i have one and it seems to blow the hot air out pretty good? what is the affects of have'n it on there?

take the intercooler off !! :| the thing melts and attachs it self to the xbox :| the thing does more damage than good !!

ITS NOT REALLY OVERHEATING !! ITS THE SOLDER IS CHEAP AND MELTS AT A LOW TEMP THE XCLAMP FIX FIXES THIS AND STOPS THE 3RROD BY HOLDING THE SOLDER TOGETHER WITH PRESSURE !! SO IF YOU DO THIS FIX YUOR BOX SHOUD BE GOOD FOR A FEW YEARS :D

PS SOZ BOUT CAPS GOT TYPING AND FORGOT THE LOCK WAS ON CBA GOING BACK IN RETYPING IT WITHOUT :|

thanks....its all good about the caps i dont really pay attention to them lol but some do............ where do i get this stuff any idea's...........any tutorials?

yeah just search xclamp tutorial on this site or google !! you can get the parts from home depot / b&q for under $10/£5 i had the part numbers for home depot cant remember them anymore !! have a look on this site ive told a few others the part numbers !!

im probably just gonna wait till i actually get the 3 rings of death before i start with the x clamp stuff what do you all think?? should i just wait?... i was thinkn about try'n the 5 fan method on here that someone show'd pictures of.... i took the intercooler off.. i was thinkn i could maybe use those three fans and maybe buy some more fans somewhere..... anyone know where i could get the 12 volts to power it from??............thanks for all the reply everyone... this is a awesome forum

it seems like a ripoff... $50 for some screws and washers? why can't you just go to some hardware store and get that stuff for under $5... i guess people buy it without thinking.

i use the xcm high speed add on fan and the talismoon whisper fan aswell as rjb tech fan shroud mod its unbeleivable how cool that add on fan keeps the heat sinks :) as for the intercooler bin it mate i did
