I'll make something clear.

We're a T-X support forum for T-X products. When you purchase them, we expect you know how to use them (which means for those which need to be soldered, you know how to solder).

We're not here to teach you to solder - you should know how to do that before even attempting this. You clearly can't solder, so instead of doing the smart thing and learning (there are hundreds of pages on the web for help on soldering, including techniques, equipment etc ), you took the alternative route and thought you were too smart to learn first and dived right on in there. Well done you.

You're getting sh*tty replies (and deservedly so) as you decided not to read anything until you fcuked up and now you want help when it's too late. I've posted pics on soldering, as well as videos. I've even got a 'practice points' post in this section for points on your board you can practice soldering on without breaking it and even this has been overlooked.

If you're going to go through this RGH experience just doing what you want (i.e not reading) and crying for help when you fcuk it up, you'll never get anywhere.

First thing for you to do is send this to someone to salvage, if it's still possible.

Next, learn to solder before even attempting something like this again.
All I am saying like I said in the previous post was "IS THIS SALVAGEABLE" that's it that is all, yes maybe someone needs the board to know that or I need to desolder what I did to find that. But I have yet to say "HOW DO I SOLDER THIS LOLOLOL PLEASE HELP ME I'M NEWB" I am asking for POINTERS and INPUT, and there have been a few helpful people in this thread that have given me what I've asked for, and I have watched videos on soldering and yes I will admit I probably should have practiced more before I attempted this. But coming from a "super mod" I would expect a little more sympathy than you have given me. Saying "take it to a pro" isn't support as this forum is supposed to be, it feels like its more of a slap in the face than anything. And trust me I will figure out and do this with or without anyone's help. I'm not one to give up just because people on the internet flamed me, including the mods.

You want sympathy because you decided to dive in and try to solder to micro-SMD points without any prior experience? How old are you? 12? Man up already. You screwed up your console by not following advice and you're still not.

However you take the advice is a reflection on you as a person. It is though, perfect advice for someone in your position and is the correct support in this instance.

What else do you want to hear (or were expecting to hear)? Do you not know anything about electronics?

be careful pal I've seen people banned for less,
what you have to understand is these guys see 100 + posts just like yours every day. most people are not even willing to help themselves.
there are wealth's of good info on this site all you have to do is search for it. you posted a question asking for advice,
the best advice you will ever get is from Martinc, his rep bar isn't that high because he's a mod, it's because he is really good at what he does.
if you don't want his advice you don't have to take it. but deep down you know he is right.

I've said everything I need to say in the first post, is it salvageable, meaning the xbox as a whole not the coolrunner chip because that is obviously toast, I didn't do anything but plug xbox power into the mobo, as stated in the first youtube video I linked, and plug the USB into my computer with it hooked up to my sh*tty solder points the nand-x and the coolrunner, nothing started smoking except the xecuter chip, I see no reason it would have done that because the xbox itself SHOULD BE properly grounded so me plugging it in wouldn't and didn't cause it to start smoking. While I was troublshooting to figure out what I did wrong I plugged in the USB without the xbox power, the only two things that I would assume would affect that are the ground and the power, either their is too much power or not enough of a ground.

I wasn't asking for a mod to say "fcuk you you're horrible and 12" I was asking for input on desoldering, my soldering iron that is all. This sh*t is cheap and I will figure it out if you have something constructive to say with what I've said in this post please reply if not don't even bother and just close the thread or remove it I don't care anymore.

Yes, due to your crappy soldering you shorted something on the Coolrunner which caused a component to blow.

So remove the Coolrunner and make sure the console boots.

If it does, get another Coolrunner.

If it doesn't, either throw it in the trash or use for soldering practice as it's obvious you're too stubborn to let someone fix for you (or at least have a look to see if it can be fixed).

I'll close this thread now but will leave it here. It's always good for reference as people don't believe you when you tell them it's easy to mess up if you can't solder.
