Hello all, I need help with something that is noobly. I have installed 2 Rev C's, and was thinking of ordering the new Cr3 Lite, but I saw that it has all of these new Jumper Setting, CPU Reset Cleaner, and PLL_Bypass Cleaner settings that I have never used or had to use before. I read the section about it and Cpu settings are straightforward, but what about the PLL Bypass? What setting do I put that on? and the Jumper Settings it refers to the buttons being "short" and "open" sorry for the noob, but that's why I'm here, and I never had to worry about these new weird settings for this stuff on Rev C because my boot times were excellent without them. I'm concerned because I read of someone who didn't bother to set the Jumper Settings and his box wouldn't glitch at all, so I need to make sure I understand how to set them before I order, other than that, I know how to do everything else ;)

Thank you, you've been of great help to me. But, there is just one thing I don't understand

Slim (Trinity)

LK1 - Short (Disable Crystal)
LK2 - Short (Disable 10 Ohm on CPU_RST)
LK3 - Open (C15 Disable)
LK4 - Short 1-2 (300pF on CPU_RST to GND)
or
LK4 - All Open

Thank you sir, you've helped clear up a lot of my noobly questions, but I still have a few more. (Sorry once again)
1. On the diagram of the new Xecuter Lite it shows the 4 different Jumper locations, do these have to be on for your box to glitch? I understand the crystal one does for Coronas, but for everything else?
2. Out of curiosity, are those 4 points for the Lite Jumpers tiny switches? I cannot see from the picture that well, but that's what it looks like.
3. For my last question, I am confused as to how you can tell if your Lite Jumper point is on the short or open setting, is there some tiny label on the Lite that tells you which way is short and which way is open for the tiny switches? (Or what looks to be like tiny switches) I am truly sorry for my barrage of idiot questions, and I'm glad someone like you came along to help. I know you probably have better things to do than answer my dumb questions all day. Those last 3 questions are all I need to know and I will order my brand new chip right away and get the homebrew crackin hehe :p

You should buy at least one CR3 Lite and test it. Then you will realize what the jumper does and does not.

Hi There

Not sure what you actually asking, but hopefully this is in the right direction.

S2 and S4 are banks of tiny switches. For them ON = Short and Off = Open. (self explanatory)
LK1 to LK4 are tiny pads on the pcb which need to be left open or soldered together.
No solder = Open
Solder across = Short (Closed)

LK4 has two options 1-2 = 300pf cap and 2-3 = 100pf capacitor.

The purpose of the various links and switches are described in the thread you have read.

Work very carefully when soldering these locations or you could lift a pad and/or take off some of the surrounding components.

Hope this explains something.

Thank you, you cleared everything up for me. My main confusion was the LK 1-4, I had no idea what to actually do with them, I understand now, much appreciated. Thank you guys for helping me, great forum support

Hi!

I have a problem with LK3. I can't close anymore because the contact "track?" (I don't know the correct name in english, sorry) is broken. I read about this LK3 and say that "Disable C15". It's possible to do that by another way?

Thanks
