Coolrunner + Demon Booting Problems cntd.

basically, I have a demon with a coolrunner rev A installed. I have soldered the cr_en point to the last pin on the IC nearest to the E - F points. The system will boot the stock NAND from the motherboard and the demon with the coolrunner on prgm, but it won't boot the stock side from the motherboard with the coolrunner on normal. I have tested continuity from the cr_en on the demon to the corresponding point on the coolrunner and it is there, so I'm really confused on this one.

also, it seems as if I'm having this problem on multiple systems, and only phats. I've done 2 slim demon installs that worked flawlessly but my phats are all doing this same thing with the coolrunner not turning off properly.

Do you think I could have a corrupt timing file?

the chip is programmed with the falconrgh2.xsvf from Jrunner with the falcon experimental timing file and "demon installed" checkbox ticked.

ok yea it was my timing file it must be the wrong one cuz I just flashed the jasper A timing file with the demon installed checkbox ticked and it fired right up. Any advice on how to replace the falcon experimental with the proper files?

There isn't a DemoN enabled Falcon timing file.

Fit an R-JTAG already.

yea I think I may have to this split cb jasper is being stubborn

well wait if there's no demon falcon timing file then how do you hook up a demon on a falcon? Shouldn't it work when I program the coolrunner, select falcon, and tick "demon installed"

I didn't say that. The 'falcon' option in J-Runner doesn't have a DemoN version. So you would use A B C or D.

well sh*t so there's no way to use the falcon experimental timing file in conjunction with a demon? dammit that's my go to file and the only one that works well with rgh2.

also, if it doesn't work then why isn't the checkbox greyed out or something.

Because most pro installers know how to use the app.

For the final time, if you get this to someone who installs this kit they'll have it sorted for you.
