So I have several systems dontated over the years for lost or really damaged drives. Now the coolrunner I am able to recover the keys "which i have done for several jasper 256mb boards" but the really question is I spoofed a Hitachi drive for one and it will work for everything but XGD3 Disc. Now the orginal drives are lite-on so I order some replacements but is there i tut on this process. Pretty much all I did was get to wlasghehere I got the dvd key and flashed them back to stock.

For the replacement drives manual spoof the drive key into that drives stock firmware and save this as stock firmware. Hope I understood correctly

Wondering if you can help me, Got a console a missing DVD Drive. Using the CoolRunner i was able to get all the key info I needed, but the problem I am having is getting my dvive key saved unto the "Stock" Dummy.bin file using JungleFlasher for use for my x360key.
I got tips form this post; http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/topic/84119-easy-drive-spoof-with-jungleflasher/ , but I'm still unable to get the Dummy.bin to keep the new key I try to save on it
Is there an easier way to go about doing this?

I used the "LiteOn (Slim) Orig-0225" from the JungleFlashe Directory, replaced the "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF" drive key to mine, then clicked "Save to File".
On reopenning the same file I just saved, the new DVD Key doesn't save on it, it remains "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF".

As jeremy790 said you need to check your Mediatek chip to see if you have a 03=MXIC or 05=Winbond,
Then unlock the drive using which ever method one of the above chips needs:

Not sure how this works with slim drives but for a phat when you do the manual spoof you just don't select the model. From the jf standpoint you can not cross flash litone one drives but from the xbox they don't care as long as the key matches. Lite on drives are lite on drive.

Whats he trying to flash then ? I though he had a lost key on a liteon 225 and he was just trying to flash that with a key from the slim console.
I'm simply Trying to build a Dummy File for use for my x360key, All I've got is the "Key" and the "DVD Type", Nothing More.

If I'm reading you right it's a 0225 slim drive your wanting to write a firmware key to for your slims PLDS DG-16D4S drive, you need to either do a hardware hack or buy a unlocked pcb for it.

To build OFW for a slim it is same as other models. Load the OFW from the FW pack as "TARGET". Click "manual spoof" button and paste the key there. Click ok and then save.

if he has only got the drive key and no dummy for his drive,then he cant inject the drive key into 0225 fw.
simple as that.
it can be done with 9504 drives using the lizard fix.but it's a no go for 0225 drives.
