So i go the coolrunner and nand x to recover keys from several xbox's that customer had abondined do to them trying to replace the drive and trashing the old drive. Now I have my first coolrunner installed and was able to recover the dvd key and all that. So I was able to spoof another drive and get the system working but the big question is. Is there a better way to do this, I know that spoofing is not supported or recommned. What I would like to do is after I have the work don is pull the coolrunner and all the wiring for the nand x. Now with that being said would I just flash the nand back to the orignal dump and have a spoofed drive. Any info would be much appreciated. Btw the current board is a 256mb Jasper that originally had a liteon but i spoofed a benq to work with it.

Buy the right type of drive and flash it with the key. Yes, you have to flash the original NAND back if you're going to remove the CoolRunner.

PS This info is posted all over.

-edit-
In more detail, to check what kind of drive the box is supposed to have, open the dump with 360 Flash Tool, input your CPU key, and you will see the OSIG of the KV on the right. Just buy the correct drive and flash it with the key.

OMG are you serious. How do you think I got the dvd key. Not everyone has the option to buy the drive they need need.

P.S
Well could i have really spoofed the drive without knowing the original drive.

"big question is. Is there a better way to do this"

I told you the only way to do it. You either spoof it or get the right drive. It's that simple. Also, don't get angry at me because you don't like the answer.

@Martin - Exactly.

Naw I'm not angry. Just wasn't sure if there was something else I could do that I had not found yet that's all. Anyway thanks for confirming what I thought.

No problem. If you're going to leave it spoofed I would just do manual spoof. Neither spoof is safe and manual spoof will keep the drive from getting bricked from updates (if you haven't done the drive update yet). Ex. I had a BenQ in a lite-on box, only manual spoofed, and the dash update applied the appropriate patch to the BenQ firmware, even though the box should have had a Lite-on
