I attempted RGH after receiving all the goodies I had ordered from Team X. I used a Nand x, that was updated with my cK3i, to read nand and write ecc. image back to the nand. All this went perfectly, but once I attempted to turn on my xbox, I got nothing. No lights at all.

The xbox worked fine before my attempt to do rgh, so can someone tell me if my soldering was good enough to read the nand, could it have also completely killed the motherboard? If I somehow screwed up creating ecc./writing image back to the board, could that have possibly killed it?Or is it more likely I mishandled the board in the few days it was outside of the metal cage it bolts into?

STBY_CLK looks to be bridged looking at the image in your original post - remove the wire and use less solder.... it only wants to be soldered to the pad next to the resistor.

Oh, and you have STBY_CLK and 3.3v back to front on the CoolRunner.... the 3.3v pad is clearly labelled .

There also looks to be too much solder on PLL_BYPASS (green wire, underside) - like I mentioned about the STBY_CLK point, use less solder.

Everything Blakey said is spot on.

I'd like to add that if you can't even follow the picture guide on which wires go where on the CoolRunner, you should:

STOP IMMEDIATELY and get a professional to do the work. None of your pads look messed up so now is the perfect time to stop before you do damage that is significantly more difficult to fix.

Youve also got your coolrunner set to Program. You have to have the switch set to Normal otherwise its pretty much turned off.

So once you get rid of the solder bridges you have to switch the actual coolrunner on

I've seen much worse soldering than that on boxes that still work!

I'd do as mentioned above and remove some of the solder, the orange wire definately looks bridged. Then de-solder all the wires at the Coolrunner end and re-solder in the correct order.

Good luck!
