Dear all,

I had noticed before but questioning now that, Coolrunner GND and 3.3V cable (RED & BLACK) are thicker than the others. Is it necessary to use ticker cable there? Or we can use thinner cable like others on these two places?

Thanks

Its best to use thicker cables
Why? So that 1amp 12volt dosent melt your wire... if its even 1 amp.. prolly like 0.05 amps.

I do agree that as general rule of thumb thick ground wire is good, but in the case of Xbox I dont think it matters all that much.

I work with big toys at work, as I am marine electrician, and we got huge gauge wire on out machines, 440V 800 amp genny's but for a 12 volt little thing the thickness dosent matter

The thicker the wire (and stranded) it has less resistance, and less resistance is good so that the wire doesnt melt... The Ground should be thick because it give less signal interference.
