Not sure what model of xbox the rf boards came out of. I had a few rrod xbox that werent worth saving so i just scrapped them and putting spare parts into a box.
The Rev version that works is REV B and the newer one i tested that didnt work was REV H.

Every version will work if you wire direct to an led and use a diode I don't get why people cannot remove led from cool runner

And why are people killing cool runners how the hell did you install it in the first place

Not the case, i tried wiring from both sides of the LED debug and nothing also tried REV A and B coolrunners.another memeber (RROD) on here found this,
"please note the xbox 360 uses a common positive (not negitive) for its lights this is why
you must use the custom negitive .jed because the normal .jed uses pos on the debug pad and the custom .jed has been switched to negitive."

and the link http://www.hacksden.com/showthread.php/4906-How-to-use-the-stock-rol-as-a-debug-light-for-RGH-hack.

Mod please remove link if not allowed. Thanks.

Hmm thats pretty interesting. So it would make the debug light by adding the negative pulse to a led with a constant power source?

It seems that way, but its only on the RF board. I used the same xbox with the rf board that worked for me and on player3 point the voltage was -0.03, changed the rf board to the newer one and the same point was measuring -1.73, so it has something to do with the rf board.

no simple you really should pullout your multimeter before saying this things or if you cant test how can you say ??? all slim rf boards have common negative this means they have allways got ground??the older phats and and most or the rf they have have common live its on all the time so how can it be if one needs a neg to make full curcit and the other posi how is it possible for this to work on all???

It may only be possible if you run run a extra smd to the rf board in series. Anyways I'm going to RGH this falcon for some testing after I do a little work on that shell.

yer give it a go would be nice to find other ways around but the only joy i had was to scratch a part of the rf board and solder the led to that then add the live feed from the cr

Was it a constant ground you scratched? Can you post a image of the area?

The only common ground I found near the player 4 ind. was a pin located directly under the led itself. I didn't realize that there were so many different rev. of the RF board. I went through a few I had in a box and counted at least 6 different versions. Anyways the pic below has the common ground I was talking about. You could add the - side of a extra led there and run the 1 wire from the CR to the + side. Will do more testing in a bit.
