so thanks for your pictures and video.

my mobo is falcon and i did this method on it
but I have a problem.
I explain it on this pictuer.
http://130.0.img98.net/out.php/i269836_dsc00686.jpg

i connected 1n4148 diode to RF board from anode side.
my problem is when 2 led on they blink whit CR but they dont off when console boot.

whit this problems i use a jasper RF board (similar vidoe rf board) and connected my diode to RF board from kathode and it booted similar top video.
anyone had this problem???

The only common ground I found near the player 4 ind. was a pin located directly under the led itself. I didn't realize that there were so many different rev. of the RF board. I went through a few I had in a box and counted at least 6 different versions. Anyways the pic below has the common ground I was talking about. You could add the - side of a extra led there and run the 1 wire from the CR to the + side. Will do more testing in a bit.

I soldered to TP24 pad for negative works fine on a added LED :)

all slim rf boards have common negative this means they have allways got ground??
wasn't sure if you were really asking this, but my slim's RF board does not have a common gnd, there's no continuity between gnd on the leds and the case or other gnd points on the rf board

I agree this would be a really nice option to have in jrunner.

All slims should be the same. The problem is with the phat consoles the RF use negative pulses to trigger the led.

I can confirm mine is not the same - tried both sides of the led and it wouldn't light. had to use a common gnd in the area around the leds.

I'm certainly not a newcomer to this sort of thing, I've been working with electronics and the like for almost 20yrs. If you look at the picture of my RF board (a couple pages back, or I can post it a 3rd time) and the slim RF board in the OP they are different.

I'm sorry bud but I would have to disagree with you. The reason I believe the phat consoles are different because they use the dual leds and the slim does not.

I can take video for proof... wire the leds up on both sides (one at a time obviously), diode in place, and show they don't light up either way.

if I use a multimeter I get no continuity between the case (or any other ground on the ROL or system) and the ground (negative) lead on the leds.
