If you do it the original way ( for rev A ), then you need the diode, but if you do it my way (rev A + B), you can use any color led adn no diode is needed...

yes, just do the same thing I did, but use a red led instead of the green one.

I figured mine out. You HAVE to remove the original green led off the Coolrunner or the New one will be dim.
Glad to see you guys working it out I will personally revise the OP in a bit to suit both Rev A and B. Just give me a bit and I'll figure it out W/O using the green debug light.

any way to make the red dot flash with debug?

Also superspeed, according to your picture, you're soldering to the positive side of the dbg diode on the CR Rev A. I just tossed my diode tester on it and i get it to light up with the positive probe where your diagram shows you solder to and the negative probe on the GND wire or any where in the box. From the looks of the ROL board and the continuity tests i have doen you're soldering to the positive side of that as well.

So im confused, is your diagram wrong and soldering Negative to negative, or are we just mistaken.

Tie it to the right hand / centre RF light I imagine.

Can i leave the original debug led on the coolrunner alone just solder wire next to it? or do i have to remove it?

OK thanks then the other end of the wire goes to the positive of any led on the RF board, with no diode? I have a REV A Coolrunner

I am using the Rev B tutorial, he said i don't need a diode
I posted a new image for a 1wire install for the Rev B version in the OP. The only thing that changed was coolrunner side.

EDIT don't know why tinypic deleted the first pic but soon as I'm back at the PC it will be fixed.

I am confused if i do it the rev B way by removing the debug led and soldering the negative of the LED to the negative LED on the RF board and attach the wire to the positive of the original Debug LED on the RF board i don't need diode
