I am confused if i do it the rev B way by removing the debug led and soldering the negative of the LED to the negative LED on the RF board and attach the wire to the positive of the original Debug LED on the RF board i don't need diode
Positive side. Had the wires wrong on my multi-meter.

OK well i know i am looking for positive on the coolrunner so i will use a multi meter and then solder it to positive then the other end of the wire to the Debug LED positive. So in theory you don't need a diode cause you are just moving the LED from the coolrunner to the RF board

Refer to the pics in the OP. Rev B version is the same install method as the Rev A version just a different point on the CR. The picture of the location is in the OP.

YES YOU NEED THE DIODE.

why? the RF board isn't giving power to the Original Debug LED that is attached to the negative of the RF LED

sorry i just figured ot that when you are attaching the led's negative to nagative you have positive on both sides so there is power going through, so which diode do i need and where do i place it

Its going positive to positive and you don't want the current going back to the CR.

Please if you do this use the points used in the OP. It has been revised to fit both versions and shouldn't cause any issues.

OK i will see if i might have one lying around, if not i will buy one any chance on a picture of the diode to help me look for it? oh and on my Phat console RF board there is only 4 leds in the ring so i would need to add the debug one next to Player 4 or i will have a green not lighting up

Superspeed, can you take a photo of the reverse of your ROL board please
I'll go to an electrical store today and buy the diode you mention and some wire, hopefully I don't screw this up lol

Am I essentially routing a wire from the CR (rev B) area as shown on the OP image, to the player 4 positive led? Why do I need a diode? (teach me :) )

Any way to route the wire to the middle LED like in the video?

You need a diode so when player 4 is lit up you are not sending current back to the cooleunner
