Wait your CR is only flashing when in the program position? As long as its done like I have it shown inthe OP it should not hurt anything.
Actually read my post again, I meant + Red on the Phats ROL.
So just to go over again. I soldered a wire from R1 to the + on my Phat ROL, still nothing. Diode is going the correct way.
I actually desoldered every thing already.
I dont have any image editing software right now to highlight where I soldered, but it was on the left side of R1.
And the right hand side of that pad.
All the connections were solid. I know my soldering could be better, but I have shaky hands. I am lucky I can do this much.

Looks like it was on the wrong side of r1 and not totally sure about which side the red is on phat consoles. I believe its on the left side of player 4

mine wouldn't light the ROL leds at all... the ground lines on the leds ran through too many components (no direct continuity to gnd) - I had to put a new led on the ROL, scratching a gnd point and wiring power from the CR.

Hi all, I know theres some questions on the phats so i thought id do the honours Im using the CR rev B, and the same dioade as the OP and using the wire from the slim pack from the CR. I also put some shrink wrap on either side of the legs of the diaode to prevent and shorts. Will post a video shortly.
EDIT....... This mod on the Phat xbox will only work like ive shown you if you have that sytle of RF board, If you have the other style with the chip on the top right hand side of the board then it wont work.

this dont seem to work for me using the same point on a rev a coolrunner from r1 reistor but what does work is run a wire from + side of the led solder to + side of smd led and scratch a small spot on the rf board where ground is and solder - side of led to that il post pic later if you want but justice can you confirm if the mod will still work from the led point on the coolrunner?Also I have see on the net modded .jed files that work from negative not positive for phat Xbox because the rf on them have common positive not sure if this is something that could be added to jrunner?

Yes it should still work on either the led or the r1 point.
