Hello ive got a trinity slim, installed a coolrunner. No matter what ive done cannot get the coolrunner to turn green. First tried useing jtag tool to read and program the nand and coolrunner. No boot intoo xell after that, tried ecc glitch generator and nandpro to write nand, can always flash back the origional nand and it will boot fine. Have also tried resoldering a few of the wires to cool runner. Tried some alt soldering points as well like cpu bypass, and Can solder decent have been modding for a long time since the original playstation, never had this much trouble in my life.

Pic's of soldering... Are you on slim setting and the white switch is on NOR and you programmed the cool runner?

Have you programmed it??

Is your ground wire soldered??

If your runner is programmed Im gonna vote for either a Yellow wire error or ground error, most likely ground...

Hard to say with out pics

If it wasn't programmed the green light would be on constantly.

Try powering it up without putting it back in the metal casing. Trim the wire ends so just a tiny amount of wire is showing when you solder them on.

We really need pictures could be as simple as a wire in the wrong spot.

Ground has to be the easiest wire to install so can't see that being the issue since you have said you have been modding since PS1 days

using a different wire or possibly alt points may help you. I never had this problem with slims although a few phat consoles had a dim light - poor soldering on green wire. replaced with thin kynar good connection - glitched like the rest:biggrin:

good place to start is coolrunner B wire going to hana make sure its not touching another point

You would be surprised... The easiest wire is almost always the one that gets forgotten/screwed up/ even soldered to wrong point...

Are you using QSBs or direct wire? If you are using QSBs don't forget about soldering R1 up in the corner.

If you are using the QSBs you prob forgot to solder point R1 on the top of the qsb. It is real small and hard to notice. If you are using direct wire you either soldered the wrong point, bridged the connection, or missed it entirely.

We really can't help unless you post pictures, hence the phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words"

My guess is it is in program mode and not normal mode. What does the red light look like? Is it bright or dim?

Even if he was modding since PS1 days this is different and this is hard. There is alot of things that can be f**ked up. Its an xbox for god's sake.
