i thought this forum was for helping people with this sort of stuff, i have done many j tags but without the reset glitch. i just wanted to no why i would not be getting enough power. no worrys then

From what it sounds like, you're getting 3.3v necessary. That points to another of the connections being bad.
Check continuity between each of the pads on the CR chip through to the alternate points with a multimeter. You should get near 0 ohms on each point.
If that all checks out, check continuity between points on the CR. None should be connected.

Buy a car and speak to the manufacturer on help with the various features. You don't ask them to teach you to drive, do you?

Rite i have now put a other reset on the xbox and its working fine it was the reset wot was playing up so its getting sent back from were i got it from so thanks to all the peeps tht helped me and the other peeps who was telling me i messed up thanks for all the crap
Glad you got it sorted... but is the punctuation broken on you're keyboard? Maybe get that sorted out...

You're more than welcome - always happy to let someone know that they can't solder. I've even found in a few occasions the person has actually taken note and gotten someone to do the work and the console was resolved.
For the others, the console went in the bin or was sold as faulty.
Moral - you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.
