hello..

i've read all the NOT GLITCHING threads but found nothing that would help me..

so as the title says.. cant get my slim to glitch..

i've programmed the CR successfully using nand-x - nandpro3 and also using the CR programmer by coolshrimps.. no errors during programming .. always successful

i've dumped my nand 3 times and they match

i've used multi-builder 0.2 and 0.3 for generate my ecc file and flashed using the +w16 command via nandpro

my wiring looks good.. no problems..

my CPU_RST wire is nowhere near the 3.3v wire and its not tightly coiled up

when I try to boot into xell, CR flashes green every few seconds , solid green light on RF board but nothing on the screen.. i've even waited 10 mins but nothing..

I've done hundreds of the original JTAG and this is suppose to be so straight forward yet its not working..

any help would be appreciated

It kinda looks like the switch is set to program mode, should be set to normal.
can't see other switch, but is that set to "slim"?

switch was in program mode since I tried re-programming the CR a million times.. during xell boot attempt, switch was move to NOR and other switch is on slim and has been moved a few time back and forth just to make sure its not a sticking switch..

you are suppost to program the coolrunner with the correct xsvf in normal postion,
prog is for future updates.

Well thanks Stevoo, I accidentally stumbled on this thread. I too was thinking that I should set the switch to PRG before programming with the files. But guess I was wrong. Good thing I didn't get my LPT cable yet, otherwise similar screw-up.

Thanks mate.

if you're programming, then power comes from ck3 via program cable.. if its already programmed and ready to glitch, then power comes from mobo point J2C3-7

Crap,I forgot to buy that cable!(joke)

I reprogramed one CR after it was installed, I unpluged the power cable from the xbox, so it used the power from the Nandx thru the Nandx to CooRrunner JTAG cable.

Yes, program the CoolRunner with the switch in "nor" position.

TBH, I believe it can be programed with the switch in either position, but I have been leaving it in "nor" position.

When the cr is soldered to the motherboard, the required 3.3v is coming from the motherboard in norm mode. This works for powering the cr during programming.

I'm guessing that in prog mode the cr is no longer connected to motherboard and can't get power unless you have a nandx or ck3 to cr cable.
