RGH CoolRunner programming via LPT issue & solution

This mainly applies to the newest revision of CR where they come with the cap included. If you are trying to program a CR via LPT and notice that only the red light comes on but not the green one and that xlinx doesn't recognize the chip then try this.

Connect the GND & VCC pins only at start. You then should see the CR power on as normal with both red & green LED's on. Next connect the rest of the pins and proceed to initialize the chain in xlinx which from there everything should work as normal.

This might not apply to everyone but it solved my problem with latest batch of CoolRunners I had.

This will only work with DIY cables....

Without modification to the TX JTAG Cable or the TX Coolrunner.
