Hello and thanks for all the help in advance. I ordered my nandx and coolrunner online and they finally came in. I bought this kit used for cheap. It has everything but the NAND x to coolrunner program cable. Anyways I ordered the cable and it's on the way. Here's my situation I need help with. The guy I bought the kit from used it on a slim. He installed NAND x and his own coolrunner but he never programmed the coolrunner....... He doesn't have the cable and nor did he use a lpt. His console works and boots fine and he has xell or whatever. How did this happen? Did he get the only coolrunner that comes programmed? Any help would be great.

Each coolrunner has to have its own specific programming based on motherboard type. The coolrunner programming involves putting the correct timing files to start the RGH.

Each coolrunnner has the Xell/ECC Glitch image which differs per console.

You have to keep the coolrunner installed in the console to maintain the RGH. You cannot take it out once your done.

or in other words the guy who you bought it from is full of crap if he says his console still boots fine w/o coolrunner.

He has his own coolrunner installed. I mentioned that. How is his coolrunner programmed if he didn't use the nandx cable or lpt? His boots with xell on slim.

please read carefully. He bought the NAND-x and 2 coolrunners. Installed on his Xbox and shipped me the NAND-x and other coolboarder.

Sorry, I got confused after reading that line. You have to program the coolrunner someway there is no way around it. And since you said you already ordered the nandx to coolrunner cable why not just wait for it.

your friend is full of sh*t and programmed it himself or he bought it pre-programmed from someone else or somehow miraculously got one that was tested and was pre-programmed.

You waited 40 minutes to bump your own thread bitching about not having a response. Even though you are waiting for the cable to come in, so it is hardly an urgent issue.

He says all he did was wired the coolboarder to mb. Then installed nandx and ran coolshrimp. It sounds odd to me also.

And that's why it says "thanks in post" and your name has a 0 next to it. I'm just wondering how this happened. Not lookin to bitch about an install or part.

Your coming off as really rude, but I will answer your question again.

The answer is, it did NOT happen the guy is lying to you. It is impossible to just install a coolrunner to a mobo and for it to magically work. It needs to be programmed!

Pretty funny thread. The comment above in purple isn't entirely accurate. A coolrunner programmed to work on a trinity motherboard will work on any trinity, not just one unique console. The xell image isn't actually loaded to the cr.

Come on man you know he was talking about the xsvf that is loaded, and it is a different one for each mobo type.
