RGH Coolrunner Rev.A & B Capacitor Question

Hello!

Can anyone tell me which Capacitor Value ist
activated by moving the switch to "Slim" on Coolrunner Rev.A and Rev.B?

And where on the Coolrunner is the Capacitor, because i probably want to use my own that i can desolder it?

I guessi t's a 68pf one, please correct me if I'm wrong. Also, tried different caps values, worked best with a 47 pf one

68nf is for Fats and that is only "Onboard" on the Coolrunner Rev. B.

I want to know for Slims

You cannot put any cap on SLIMS because there's no PPL_BYPASS ...

The on-board cap is not 68nF if I remember correctly and it doesn't work for all Jasper's either. For instance I have a Jasper here (and have had a few others like this as well) that glitches slow without CAP bridged, with CAP bridged it wont glitch at all, not even once.

With unbridged CAP and 68nF on Ground/PLL and 68nF in-line RST it boots instantly. The CAP point is not for all units, however for the most part the CAP point does help.

For Slims a capacitor or CAP point is not required.

I know.
But see - I did a Slim today (Coolrunner Rev.A.) with a 270pf Capacitor on GND and CPU_RST and the Switch in the middle (So nothing is choosen) and it boots better as the Coolrunner Rev.B on Switch to SLIM.

On Switch to Slim it doesnt booted and on Switch to Slim with my own 270pf Capacitor the fan turn up to max rotation.

Thats the reason why i`m asking, where on the Coolrunner the SLIM Cap is, that i can desolder it because
i want to use my own. And thats why i want to know which value the Capacitor have.
Because i dont think there is no capacitor when switched to slim - see above the fan

Try and follow traces on the coolrunner to find the cap your looking for. You might find it since these guys seem to be guessing. From what I can gather you already know what the phat cap is your not wanting to use so guess and check my friend.

C8 is the Cap for Slims and C15 is the Cap for Fats.

Just for Info - i found it in a German Forum :rolleyes2:

I desoldered the Slim Cap and now i can use my own caps....
