Hi guys,

Bit of a strange one, I had RGH my falcon and it was booting fine running 13604 having used JTAG tool to do all processes, I updated to 14699 with .ecc built using multibuilder 0.5 as per neophytes stickied tutorial.

Everything was running fine and had been playing for several hours when the console froze. Upon turning console off and on again, the coolrunner would no longer blink green to indicate attempting to glitch. Retried many times leaving it for several minutes to see if it kicked back into life, still no good. Had already positioned PLL_BYPASS away from the coil area from the start however tried moving this around to no avail.

Thought it might be the coolrunner itself so desoldered the wires and replaced it with another coolrunner and resoldered, same issues.

Have checked continuity of all points and nothing is amiss. Am certain it is not a soldering issue as prior to updating to 14699 dash it had been running for some 12-15 hours whilst getting the hang of FSD etc, and as I say was running fine even after updating with some 4-5 hours of play with no issues.

Bit lost on what to try next as coolrunner itself doesn't seem to be the issue and as far as I can tell all the wiring is sound - obligatory installation pics included.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Flash the original NAND back to the console - make sure it still boots. the console MAY be faulty in other ways (RRoD) but because 0022 is ignored in the RGH image, you won't see it.

What I really want to know is why you flashed another .ecc file to your console? Did you need your CPU key again? You know you can boot to XeLL to get it, yes?

Ok will give that a try - I presume this is just a case of opening up "Write.bin" in JTAG tool and selecting the original nand?

At the risk of sounding like a moron, I presume I will need to completely remove all coolrunner wiring in order to boot it up as stock?

Oh and I meant the Freeboot image, not the .ecc, sorry for the mix up.

Thanks,

Ok did that and indeed I did get a RROD with a secondary error code of seemingly never ending 0's and 1's, which in my experience is not a good prognosis. Bloody typical I get the console glitching and all set up and then it craps out on me, if I didn't have a spare I'd be really upset.

Anyways, it saved me painful hours of resoldering and head scratching so thanks.
