So my coolrunner and nand-x are arriving tomorrow. It'll be my first "modchip" install since the ps2 days.

I've been wondering about the wire that comes with it, im used to working with Kynar AWG 30 solid core stuff and the wire that comes with the coolrunner looks awfully thick and heavy.

I'm wondering if the Kynar stuff i'm comfortable with would be good to use for all the connections apart from PWR and GND or should i just try and work with the coolrunner's provided wires?

to tell you the truth if you work with 30 awg then you will find no probs as all the wire lengths are cut for optimal use so it is better to use them i dont think you will find any probs if you have worked with ps2 chips matey ;)

just an update on how things went.

I F****D IT UP.

nah just kidding went easy as, did however get rid of that orange wire and replace it with some good old kynar as it looked like it may be in the way of the fan shroud. Also did anyone notice the length of the tips of the wires?
i was cutting mines back to a 3rd of what they were.

super news buddy yer i also was cutting the ends shorter as for the fan shroud if you looked there was a space to the back where you can pass the orange wire out but that dont matter but glad to hear all went well as i really luv it when ppl get good sucsess spot on bud ;)
