I've finished with hardware part - converted the Corona from 4 GB to 16 MB. SPI is still not flashed with ECC... So at the moment 16MB flash have image from an old Phat.. However I tried to power up with SPI in this state (with image from another-phat xbox) - and same.. beep again and nothing else..
Question: is it normal this situation ? Because nothing changed..

Is it normal that a slim wont turn on with a phat smc? I would say yes. Try writing just the carona ecc, and it should turn on.

I need donor for 16MB nand dump file so I can "apply" ecc image into it using nandpro. I will be grateful ! Thanks !

P.S. Or someone if can post how to use my 48 MB dump from V2 ?

Update:

Flash conversion is successful. Initially when I've tried to read new SPI with USBJTAG NT i've got zeros in the content of the dump. So I've tried to apply pressure (with the my tumb on it) on the SouthBridge chip and I've got readings and proper content from the flash.

Question to Gurus here: With 4GB Nand flash configuration I was able to read the content with SDcard. Is southBridge in that case essential (does cold joints have affect) for succesfull readings, or the 4GB nand flash is autonomous for read/write operations ?

Conclusion: Either SouthBridge or GCPU have "cold" joints and have to be reflowed/reballed. I can deal with SouthBridge, but if the problem is GCPU, as I don't have proper stencil for this kind of BGA chip...

He was testing physon controller configuration and his was no volts pin 2
The consoles I used pin 2= 1.7 volts method were V-4-and E-model V-6 all three I tested this way and fixed them
I am not sure but almost looks like he is bridging pin 1-3 for a second then testing pin 1# and displays 0 volts
my working V-4 shows pin 1# 3.3 volts Hope that makes sense
Hi
Should the version 4/6 also not have voltage on pin 2?
