For me it was OS. I had it appearing through a Micro SD Card reader ok in XP, but it wouldn't access it. I needed to fire up another laptop with Windows 7 and with the same card reader it worked fine.

I will say that this was the TX kit and in both instances the device appeared on my PC.

Well I also went thru all this, I stared using a micro-sd adapter and the bitch never worked, I ended up using a cheap Chinese sd card reader and it worked like a charm, this are the pics of the reader that I used:

What operating system are you achieving success with?
32 or 64bit as well please?

I may re-install my OS from scratch and hopefully a fresh XP 32bit will help, as I am not a Windows 7 Fan, Id rather use Ubuntu/Linux then.

Has anyone had success with 4gb Corona v2 nand read in a Linux environment? and if so how did you go about achieving this?

Regards

My laptop was running Windows 7 64bit. I ran jungleflasher in xp compatibility mode as administrator.

Do you have a coolrunner installed too? Try and set it to PRG if you do. I remember having some issues while it was set to NOR when trying to read/write.

Currently no CR installed, I was trying to first read nand before continuing with rest of install. No point in dealing with "B" and "C" if you cant even get past point "A"

Just a clean Corona V2 Motherboard, that's getting the evil eye from me.

I used windows 7 32bit, on a laptop HP pavilion 9000, nothing else. Like I already explained, I stared using the micro sd adapter but it never worked, then I tried using the SD card usb reader and it worked instantly in the first try, so I would say this just has to do with the hardware you are using to do the process.

So After attempting for a week to Dump Corona V2 with 2 different USB to SD reader on 2 different PC towers over 20 USB different Ports i decided to order an Internal Card reader and i just received the unit today , hooked it up on my 1st Pc Dumped both Nand in 4 Seconds compared it like a charm!!!! so it is the USB to SD readers the biggest problem of communication here with this R/W kit from TX , my internal device is the Sabrent Model CRW-UNINB if that can help you folks here only cost me like 14.99Canadian bought this at Future Shop , Have a great day!!

Have you tried to solder the cables directly into de SD to USB adapter?, that´s how I got it to work.

I don't want to damage the reader, because it's the only have have and i need it, meanwhile i have ordered 2 other cheap SD readers from eBay, those will be to solder directly let's hope that works.

In case someone reads this as they are researching (congrats on researching and not just asking), if you are in Canada, Dollarama usually have these card reader for $2 which work great.

I'm also having trouble with microSD adapter wired to board and not being recognized by windows. I've already tried internal sd readers on my notebook and destop pc:s and with one usb adapter. And none of them is recognizing.
Does it matter what lenght are the wires from board to the adapter? I have them about 25cm at the moment. What about the ground for resonator, can it be taken from anywhere, or is is best from C1E1?
What about ground from pins 4 and 6, should they be bridged and wired to 6 or wired to 3 and 6 and also bridged?
Thanks..

Ok, sorry about that. I didn't know what i was doing was hijacking.
Anyway i got it sorted, i used the same adapter but i bought a Kingston Mobilite G2 USB-SD converter which worked fine with it. :)
Just though to let you know, if anyone else struggling with it..

Hello one and all...

So as usual I have exhausted all my options and resources before I made this post, with regards to reading the NAND of the latest 4gb corona with a self made SD card reader modification.

I have read other peoples reports of the difficulties they have encountered with the 4gb corona motherboards and the nand reading and writing.

I have included pics of my install.
I have tried connecting to regular SD card adapter , wire install and then placing that into the card reader, NO SUCCESS.
I have tried soldering the wires to the card reader directly and plugging that in, also with NO SUCCESS.

When I have the mobo connected to SD card adapter, then inserted into reader, then into pc. My pc becomes very slow and unresponsive, and it takes at least 10 minutes for the drive letter of the card reader to come up in windows.
Strange thing tho is that it does not request to format card reader automatically.
Just detects in windows and assigns letter.
Then when I use win-hex to open up the disk, I receive a series of different errors, >>>all displayed in pics.
Basically it does not detect drive is ready, also tried using latest Jrunner 283 for nand read but no success either.

Checked for shorts on solder joints on motherboard and all solder joints are perfect.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Hi friend,i'm from Brazil and i had the same problem.
In last chance i decide use a Micro SD Read which come with R4i for NDS. Its a small dongle which no have chipset, only a small buble of black resin epox. Work fine ,like a charm in first time connected in USB / J-Runner !!! Check all attached pictures for verify the compatible Micro SD Reader which i used .
