FIXED Corona - Can't Read Console's NAND

Hi Guys,

I am having issues (FF error) with reading the built in NAND through JRunner (console runs fine, and switches to Demon, but cannot read xbox NAND)

I have checked for continuity on all points and from what I can see I have everything soldered correctly (be it a bit messy)

So I thought I would try alt points.

Looking at my NAND though it looks as though it is positioned differently to most other pictures I have seen in the forums (picture attached, I have added solder to 2 pads in U1D1 already)

According to http://team-xecuter.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=9406&d=1340544432 all my alt points should be at the bottom, but as my nand is up the other way, is it safe to assume they will be at the other end?

What I was thinking is using the details outlined on http://team-xecuter.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=12689&d=1356577590 so I can use the bigger pads to solder to.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
YorT

Re: DemoN Slim - Can't Read Console's NAND

I've moved your post to it's own thread.

Can you post an image of the DemoN install please.

It's no use thinking about alternate points until we can ascertain the issue here.

Thanks BL4K3Y,

Further pictures attached.

Be warned, ugly soldering ahead.

The pads on the QSB are buggered. I soldered the Demon on wrong, tried to unsolder it, and screwed up the pads on it. I have managed to get a good connection to the points I could though so it still works, be it ugly.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Your right Martin, im a bit of a tinker though so thought, what the hell, and kept on trying.

I managed to get it working. Cleaned up all the points and tried again, and it works now (yay)

I think there was a blob of solder on the QSB which crossed pins and caused the issue.

Trying to get DGX working now which is proving difficult, but that is a different story.

Cheers

Dude you need to work on your soldering skills extremely hence Martin C's post.

Looking at some of those pics I'm suprised you made it work.

Consider this constructive criticism.
