Just reading the images in JR regarding corona CR install, in the image of the cap it is unbridged and it says 100nF cap - DEFAULT (jumper open) THIS JUMPER OPTION IS NOT APPLICABLE TO SLIM INSTALLS. My CR has the CAP bridged. im not sure how i should be interpreting this..is it saying remove the resistor or bridge it, default is open, leave it like that ?..now if it just said, for slim installs leave it open or bridge it it would make a bit more sense.

EDIT: answered..JUMPER #3: 100nF CAP (Default Open) - This jumper should be open when performing a Slim install. This jumper option is not applicable to Slim installs

Now if that was imbedded in the picture as well..found that on the coolrunner official guide..guess i should have been there first really.

lol.. im 42 years old..patience comes with age i think.and four kids !!..i always read first, hence my low post count, been doing this sort of stuff for years now, sometimes you cant see the woods for the trees especially if you read to much !!..i assumed every bit of info was included with JR but then realised it is just a rought scrape from the official tutorial which i found by..like you said, searching. i am an advocate of not spoon feeding..give someone a fishing rod..not a fish ;)

lol..glad i could refresh you...but, while your there..and as i am feeling lazy now. im doing a wire install of this corona v3 and looking at the picture they are using a QSB on the top side (im only using the one underneath for RST and other wire), they have an orange wire on pad B of the CR going to the QSB..am i right to assume i just drop this wire out as it is not present in the 'wire install' for slim ?

revc with the crystal already onboard, i have slim post v2 but i am thinking it is not meant for the corona ?? when seated this one is sitting over a few smd resistors and the solder point on the peninsula doesn't seem to sit over a pad

think i am confusing myself here...this corona has post out missing so i bought the post fix adaptor but does that mean i dont need the slim post QSB on the under and would solder the RST to the post fix adaptor ?

no, im not sure about that..the slim post i have i think is for the trinity..i have corona and it just doesnt sit right...i think i need to do this ??

i cant see why he isnt using a postfix adaptor..i cant see whether his console has post out there or not...i know i have to use the post out adaptor..so therefore i can follow that omitting the yellow wire, the yellow wire being post out which will go to my post_out fix adaptor

Dont have a camera to hand at present but i will get one up if i dont solve this confusion

In his video he is soldering RST to the top pad of cr511, i assume this is just an alternative point ? certainly looks nicer to solder to that

I would actually prefer to not use the QSB..for me they actually make the process longer, my soldering is up to scratch, i have two good dumps and have copies of them stored away from JR...i will get some pics up tomorrow or over the weekend hopefully, thanks for the advice GO..watch this sapce :)
