  • Detailed Description of the Problem
so i have read the nand twice and wrote the ecc file to the xbox fine and booted into xell and got the cpu key but im having trouble writing the xebuild file to the xbox as you can see in the errors and im not sure why. i have tried different card reader adapters but the only one that comes up in jrunner is the one that the kit came with it. i have restarted the computer a couple of times and i have unplugged and plugged in the psu a few times and still the same error. first it says "data error (cyclic redundancy check)" then when i try again it says the file is being used... the reason i have some different color wires for the cr4 is because i had trimmed the wires at first but then had to move to the cr4 for the nand reader qsb so i had to use some other ones and no im not using the yellow wire that came with the cr4 as power it is just another yellow wire i had but a bigger gauge so should still be fine. reason i posted here is because i couldnt see a specific forum for the qsb nand r/w kit so i posted here as i am using a cr4

  • Was the console working before you started: Y
  • Do you get a green debug light appear on the CR4 XL chip every 4-5 seconds: Y

Any help would be appreciated

Is "C" really the correct drive? That seems really unusual. Usually it would be a little further in to the alphabet on a windows machine.

not usually no , I am sure you get a number rather then a letter something like 336 or 338

Yes I know, my question was for the OP. He needs to verify C is the correct drive letter. I would guess not.

I know budy , I was just stating that when you plug a corona in its like plugging a usb stick in so you are correct you would usually get a E or F etc

have you tried manually loading the image into source then writing it
yeah after i have done one of my few restarts when i reopen jrunner i load the updflash.bin into the source and try and write and i get the same problem

and yeah im using my laptop with a 750 gb hard drive that came partitioned in half as drive D and H and i have a solid state that got the letter G assigned and i dont think it lets me change it because the os is on that. but C is defiantly the correct drive because i got xell to boot fine. i just dont know why its having a fit when trying to write the updflash.bin....

nah i havent. ill give autogg a try. is there any other programs you know of that do the same thing that i could try? i was going to also see if i still have a card reader for my desktop and try that with jrunner and see if it makes any difference at all.
thanks

If you have had success with it already it's not the card reader.

Autogg doesn't have a thing for flashing with the card reader. Not that I can figure out anyways :/

I tried the card reader on another laptop and the drive wouldn't show up in jrunner
Yes it does, make sure you have the latest version.

so i brought one of those usb card readers off ebay so that i could try jrunner on my desktop as i was having trouble with my laptop... the desktop flashes fine with no problems. so i flashed the updflash.bin to the xbox and tried to boot it and it wont glitch. i left it for like 5 mins and nothing. i tried rebuilding it to make sure i hadnt done anything wrong by accident and still nothing. i flashed the original nand back and that boots fine so im not sure what the problem is. here is the log incase you can see what im doing wrong.
pictures are still the same as above.

thanks

Have you tried different dips like 8-2 or 8-4
Does the green light still cycle every 5 seconds ?
i used dips 8-2 and it worked. i also changed the dash to 16747 instead of 17150 when trying the different dips and that worked too.
thanks heaps for the suggestion :)
