FIXED corona Red Light on power brick

well was working on this corona tweaking post lengths ... tried to turn it on one time and the console turns on for a split second(fans aswell) then off and red light on the power brick..

im assuming the 5v has been shorted with either GND or 3.3v ... what to look for that has been blown ? any ideas where to start looking ?

i removed the DGX and took pics.

Pictures are useless unfortunately. You need to check all areas for bridges/solder splashes etc in the hope you find it.

If you can't see it, a repairer might.

hmm thanks for the quick reply .... could be a blown cap or resistor or its definitely a solder splash or unwanted bridge?

could be anything. The board is in your possession, not ours.

fixed it.... a tiny wire was inside the dvd drive port......... thanks for the feedback martin c.....now to DGX this bad boy
