Hi there, thank you for any help provided.

I would just like to know if there is anyway to tell the difference between v1 and v3 without taking off the xclamp, well from the top of the board to be more clear.

I made a mistake when comparing my motherboard to the picture provided to figure out what board I have. (Just matched my nand to the pictures, not realizing the v1 and v3 can have the same one). My nand is the ST TSOP (Shown in v3 pic), but v1 can have the same.

I purchased a postfix adapter, x clamp remover (why I didn't remove my heatsink before ordering my materials), Proto 2, and JR programmer v2.

Im covered either way, but am trying to read and prepare before the stuff arrives.

My board has all the resistors which are needed to be bridged, so I am thinking its a v1.

Thanks again for all the help and information!

the manu date would be a good indicator,so long as you know its in its orig case with orig manu date stickers.id say from aug 2011-early 2012 are v1 and anything higher assume its a v3,but only REAL way to be sure is to take the xclamp off and look for the post out traces.the v1 is alot more populated with traces in the area in the board comparison pics.

all my V1 Corona's came with the original R2C6 & R2C7 resistors so i can say im 90% sure its a V1 if you want to be 100% sure just take the x-clamp off and take a look on the Post_Out line

thats not a definitive way of determining tbh.i have seen newer slims with those resistors in place, made after they started leaving them out.although,i would say with an early manu date for corona boards, and resistors in place, its bout 80% chance its a v1.

well i didn't face any V3+ with resistors but i faced V2 without post.out twice and it was latterly MFR , also the MFR date is needed as you said i was going to ask about it , cuz every console I've done before 6,2012 has Post_Out and every console above they doesn't have the post out

Alright, thanks very much for the information. I will know for sure once I open the box back up again. Just won't look into how to hook up the postfix adapter to much, since im 90% sure I have v1. The manufature date is 11/07/30, and the xbox was used 0 times when I bought it second hand (owner got it free from cable company and never used it).

well i can confirm now its a Corona V1, and about the Post_Fix its easy to install but you don't need it on this console you can either sell it or install it on another Console
