I think we have a communication problem ..I wanted him to test Post out ohms short to ground with a meter
Now he ran the post out to ground and started the console ouch

OP, I really think it may help if you write the Corona 4 GB ECC files I linked you to earlier. If you do this and solder the yellow wire back to C, you'll most likely start to get the green flashing light on the Coolrunner.

from what I read he hasn't wrote ecc to motherboard and got the yellow wire to ground:facepalm:

Yes, he soldered the yellow wire to ground (obviously needs correcting) and he has not successfully written ecc, but the ecc he tried to write was created by JRunner. I'm saying that he should try writing the ecc that is included in the pre-made "magic files".

Here is his log >I think the majic file is good Idea to try as wellFinished Checking Files
Initializing updflash.bin..
Corona 4GB
Glitch2 Selected
Nand Initialization Finished
CR4 Selected
ECC created
Writing to H:\ from C:\Users\FaathimahAminah\Desktop\J-Runner v3 (5) Core Pack\J-Runner v3 (5) Core Pack - Copy\xeBuild\output\image_00000000.ecc
Done!

so if this is it then if his wiring is good and checks out then he has a faulty chip/because what I was seeing its writing ecc failed

John could be correct bad chip..but thats why I am asking him to do the process over and verify that the dummy retail upflash bin produces 0022 error
You guys are aware that he formatted the internal 4 gig in windows with no nand dumps and the console flat lined no power after formatting

Not sure if your saying the ECC write failed or it just failed to boot but from what I see is it completed. You can't blame the chip for not writing (if that's what you are saying) and it to early to say it faulty just because Xell isn't booting. He still should verify that he has a true full post by measuring resistance between post1 and ground. It should measure ~60K.

I got right doing the same thing lucky for me had a spare and it glitched so I sending this one back to xconsole I don't believe it been programmed or something

He included a picture of his board showing post out not removed ..I believe he is at work now anyway
so we will just see tomorrow
So he did. I missed that. I'm still hesitant on calling it a bad chip. There has to be a way to tell if it's programmed or not. I have a console in progress now. I'll probe around tomorrow and post my results of what I find.

I never had a CR-4 bad yet ..I had a couple of slow starting ones but I think it is the console itself that was the trouble not the CR-4
I wanted to ask Krafter if someone had a case like his no nand dumps could you just write a different consoles 4 Gig nand then create Ecc
then boot XELL ..I have done it only building a dummy retail donor nand first then write it then ECC then XELL

You don't need to use a donor to get Xell to boot. Writing an ECC is all you need to get the keys. However a donor will be needed for XeBuild and without the stock NAND dump, it will never be retail again.

Hooking the post out yellow to ground--and powering on is a big no-no ..I hope you did not do damage
Do you have a multimeter now we really need to test the ohms post out short to ground
For now stick to settings post out 0 or 10-) have you tried dip 8-4 or 8-5
You can also write the dummy retail upflash bin back to the console then remove 5v from the chip
Start the console it should red ring after 20-25 seconds with secondary error 0022
Then if it does then write the ECC again and test for CR-4 green light
i have tried with re-write upflash.bin back and removed 5v from chip, started the console but still Green Light from ROL.

Try writing the ecc files here: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?147878-Xecuter-CR4-XL-Magic-SMC-Files-for-RGH2
Keep the CR4 installed and see if the Xbox boots. I'm no expert, but I haven't been able to get Xell to boot with a CR4 by creating the Xell image. Only way I've gotten Xell is with these magic files.
Why do you have the yellow wire soldered to the AV port?

i have changed everything and did measure between post1 and ground --> still wont to get xell
i have tried to using corona 4GB ECC files and still same thing, only red light from cr4xl
