I'm working on a Corona v2 that the customer couldn't get to boot so I removed everything but the TX 4gb r/w pcb.

Here is a bigger pic of the 4gb kit so you can see soldering better but it's not related to my question. I just know martin like the pics to be sure we are using a official tx product.

I need to know where a alt post out is? I have searched and found the img below.

Thread where I got the img for alt post out.

There is no continuity between the orig post out on the bottom where the qsb goes and STP5D1.

No continuity between orig post out & gnd

There is continuity between STP5D1 & GND

The console is now booting stock img fine, just need to knoa a alt post out that I can use..

So 'he' killed a via, the via now doesnt have contiunity on both sides and you haven't tried the publicised alt point, even though it's on the topside of the damaged point?

Did I miss something here or is this not pretty obvious and expected ?

ill get a pic when I get home of post.

the 4gb pic was just because I mentioned the 4gb kit, everytime I mention something and dont post a pic people usually ask to see it.

everything looks ok just by looking at it but i like to test continuity before I start so I don't get it installed and realize he screwed something up that I have to find & fix, i thought there should be continuity between the original spot and STP5D1?? Want to be sure everything is ok before I start

nothing i see is damaged or lifted, just need to know where i can test continuity with the original post spot. sorry if i confused anyone.

The spot you've highlighted isn't STP5D1. That's the point to the right of the text. However if you're exposing that circled via and it's grounded, that's an issue (which is why I wanted to see the underside point).

I think I figgured out my issue with it, i think it needs a reflow on cpu/gpu

if you attach the heatsink like normal with xclamp it will red dot, but if you press down on the heatsink and keep a little pressure on it then it will boot.
