i soldered the qsb rw kit and could read the nand perfectly then i tried to boot the xbox, but it just beeps!!

i lost soldering pad # 15, is it used?

i then desoldered the qsb rw kit and the xbox booted fine.

should it boot when the rw kit installed?!! what am i doing wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!

also i noticed that the qsb rw kit, has 2 pads shortened!??!?!?!?! is this normal?

so i assume these stuff are not TX and they are fake!!!!!!!!!!!
i thought that, though i checked another one from the same supplier here in Egypt and they are shorted, Maximus RW also are shorted :(. he is selling fake and NOT cheap stuff!!
i'll try to fix the pads before trying it again, will feedback.

another question :), should i have jr programmer? or the QSB RW + RC LITE would be sufficient?

Those pads shouldn't be shorted IIRC.
Are you sure? 4 and 6 pads are GND

Maximus RW also are shorted
Maximus R/W kit is not TX product.

... about your original problem. yes, some coronas are very sensitive to that. clean flux with alcohol, detach the flat cable and try to power on again.

yes i'm 100000% sure they are shortened, anyway i took the multimeter after Martin told me they are not supposed to be shortened and all the supplier stock are shortened!! "i went to kill him and he gave me another new one, and even brought me 5 more to test them, they are all shortened! ? :( :\

so i assume that all the RW kits are bad? then how would i was able to read the nand?

also please, should i get a jr programmer?

Can't read a v2/4/6 with jr programmer hence needing the 4gb r/w kit

I'm sure they should be shortened (like any other GND pads). That question was addressed to Martin.

I can't see big problem in desoldering RW kit. Setup freeboot and remove that kit - you won't need it anymore
