Corona v3 CR4+DemoN, no power when using glitch image from demon

Wow, my luck lately.. One problem after the other, so here we go again:

Products, CR4 and DemoN slim
Console: Corona v2
Programmers: Nand x and JRP2
Logs and pics: Below
CB: 13121
Dash: 16747

Problem: Just yesterday I did this install and it went flawless, EVERYTHING worked fine. By fine, I mean awesome, boots on the second glitch every time!! I booted it about 25 times last night and she was beautiful. I was ready to put it together and ship it back, but it was already like 1 AM so I decided that could wait until the morning lol. So I went to fire her up again this morning before I re-assemble it, but I was greeted with a pleasant "ding" and nothing more.. I've seen this before, so I went and reflashed both nands, reset demon, and power cycled the board and attempted to boot again. Now the stock image boots from BOTH the demon and console flash, but glitch image doesn't even allow the console to power on at all. Re-created the image and tried multiple power cycles and reflashes that typically cure this on phats, but no go here. So I left it to sit until now (about 6:10 pm) and tried again with no luck. I am just perplexed as to why this thing would work beautifully one day, then quit overnight.. Ideas?

Could it be the cr4 solder point's? If the demon is booting stock on both that means the demon install should be good.

Open it up and check your bottom point(C5R11) and the post fix adapter might not be connecting good enough. Also the 5v red wire going to mobo point. Cut some of the excess wire off.

Check the yellow wire on the demon, otherwise your soldering looks pretty damn good to me.

Just removed all CR4 soldering points, same issue. (as I expected, that soldering looks great in my opinion)

Not making sense at all

Yeah, your soldering looks really good. I just had my own issue's with a demon install over the weekend. My soldering iron died in the middle of the install.

You reseated the post fix adapter to?

Is the debug light blinking normally?

It's strange how your image would stop working like that over night.

Try rebuilding your hacked nand you made in the new xeBuild_GUI_2.095 that just came out.

My problem is that the console won't turn on at all when glitch image selected on demon, just dings and remains dead. But press the button to switch to stock and it fires right up. Works just fine when stock is on demon as well. I'm lost right now

Just offering up idea's. Its got to be the hacked image. You can try taking your current hacked image you created that worked before and rebuilding it with xebuild. See if that work's. That way it keeps the cr4 files it need's to work

Maybe the demon nand just got currupted somehow. You can also try erasing it completely and rewriting to the demon nand again.

If all else fail's,

There is alway's the smash it with a hammer or throw it across the room option too. :p

sounds like a smc-issue to me, but it realy shouldnt be if the image is made from your original nand.

Tried that a few times now. Doesn't add up either, it worked just fine about 20 hours ago. I have no F-ing idea what happened as it sat on the bench last night

Well it is called demon for a reason. It has become officially possessed. Get the hammer.

Seriously, I feel for you. Hope some else has a better idea to help you out.

HHm, did you try writing with the demon/fusion write option in advanced on jrunner?

Also just curious if you flash stock nand and write the ecc again to boot xell reloaded does that work on the demon.

Another brilliant idea is to flashed the hacked image to your stock nand and the stock image to your demon and remove the en wire. See if both boot.

Try this:

Flashed the hacked image to your stock nand and the stock image to your demon and remove the en wire/ribbon. See if both boot.

That could rule out the image being bad or wrong.

Just rebuilt nand on 16756 instead of 47. Then I wrote it to both the console nand and demon. BOTH OF THEM NOW BOOT!

f**k my life

Your luck is similar to a streak that I went though except mine ended up in three dead consoles that was totally out of my control. My luck has since changed though and I'm on a roll. I have something really cool that I'm working on.

Any way, the above sounds like a good plane. Your problem doesn't make any sense. It does sound like an SMC problem but how can a flash change unless you change it? The only thing that I could add is to maybe erase the Demon and read it again. Yes I know it will be empty but if it's a bad block that decided to go bad over night, maybe it will show up this time.

Edit. Sorry slow typing on my phone. Glad you got it fixed all the same. :)

Hopefully this is the end to my bad luck streak. I'm about to crack into another 4gb corona v2 and stick a CR4 in there in just a few minutes now. Hopefully that works out without an issue, lol ;)
